Garage Door Opener Remote Won T Work
Stand within 20 feet of your garage door and attempt pressing the button if your remote is further away from the door the signal won t be strong enough to prompt the door.

If the remote works from inside the garage but not from the outside then most likely the antenna wire on the garage door opener itself may be damaged broken or not in visible range. Here s what you should check for when the door won t open.
If they are blocked by paper dirt on the lenses or any type of debris the remote may still send a signal to. If your remote works correctly check that the opener s antennae doesn t have any excess debris buildup is pointed toward the door and isn t broken. Restore power and reprogram the remotes.
Test the remote controls. If remote controls do not work then replace the wire. If remote controls continue to work then there was a loose connection with the wires.
If you still can t program the remote after erasing all codes reset the logic board in the motor unit by unplugging the garage door opener for one minute. Remove the wires from the back of the door control. If you still have a remote that just won t work try programming a different remote if you have more than one.
If remote controls do not work replace the door control. If they are working correctly the problem might be because of the safety sensors. The safety sensors are located near the bottom rear corners of the garage door track.

Check to be sure the antenna is attached and if it is not hanging down from the unit move the antenna so it can catch the beam being sent by the remote.
